National Night Out Against Crime - Awards, Given and Received

Awards, Given And Received - Captain Kenneth Lindahl, the 106th Precinct's commanding officer, was on the giving and receiving ends during the presentation of some awards as part of the 106th's celebration of "National Night Out Against Crime." On behalf of the precinct, Lindahl accepted a proclamation from the 106th Precinct Community Council, in recognition of the precinct's continuing success in reducing crime. Another proclamation, from the office of Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, was presented to the 106th by Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Joel Miele, in recognition of the event at P.O. Nicholas DeMutiis Playground in Ozone Park. In addition, the 106th Precinct presented awards of appreciation to Community Council President Betty Braton and Frances Scarantino, founder and president of the STARS Youth Center, for their efforts regarding "National Night Out Against Crime."
